Finally it’s Here! Outside receives it’s first major update with the release of version 1.1. Check out all the new awesome features.
After months of work the first major update to Outside is now available! We’ve been listening to your feedback, rethinking and expanding our favorite weather app to make it even more awesome. This major update brings several completely new features that you’ve all been asking for. Check out the video below for a quick video tour of some of the features.
In the opening monologue of the Tonight show the 23rd of March, Jay Leno talks about having “Spring on his iPhone” in an app where he can see how the weather looks like outside. We totally agree with Jay Leno that it’s ‘perfect’ and everyone should see spring on their iPhone so we’ve created a site to share that message.
Another update for Outside is out. In 1.0.3 we’ve added more units and the option to mix them. The calendar issue should finally be put to the grave and there’s a few other minor fixes in there.
By popular demand, we’re launching a micro-store where we’ll be selling our limited edition Robocat vinyl stickers! Visit the site and order yours today!
A few weeks back we placed an order with the amazing stickerobot. We had them create a limited set of high quality die cut vinyl stickers with the lovable Robocat on them. After bragging about these amazingly detailed stickers on the interwebs, we received an uproar of requests from people who wanted to get their hands on the stickers!
We’ve snuck out another update for Outside. This is just a minor fix for a calendar issue that was going around.
Some Outside users have been experiencing what’s best described as ‘Calendar Lag’ over the past few weeks. This was a bug introduced in the 1.0.1 update when we added offline support for weather data. It caused the calendar to sometimes be one or more days behind. This should be fixed in the latest minor update 1.0.2 – we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Go grab it now!
Apple just approved the first update to Outside, and we’ve got a whole slew of neat things for you. New Snow Notification, Dew Point and Wind Chill added to the details view, a 300 days subscription option at a discounted price and much more.
Outside has been in the App Store for a full month now, and what a month it has been! Other than the hundreds of emails and praising comments, we’ve also received glowing reviews from major and minor media outlets.
Here’s a collection of fine reviews.
